Misha Hussain
I’m a British human rights journalist with over a decade of reporting experience in conflict zones, on public health crises, and climate change. My work has taken me to places like Burkina Faso, where I covered the opening of Africa’s first free clitoral restorative clinic, and to Guinea, where I broke the news of the Ebola outbreak. I’ve reported on forced child begging in Senegal, the devastating effects of Boko Haram in Cameroon, and the plight of the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, among other issues.
In addition to my journalism, I specialize in global health policy and have written for organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières, the UN, and the World Bank. My focus is on SDG3 and the intersection of conflict, development, and infectious diseases.
In 2022, I published my debut novel SAKTHI with Bluemoose Books. It explores forced marriage, identity, and women’s rights, offering a compelling mix of cultural commentary, humor, and thought-provoking insights.
