Ian Macpherson

Ian Macpherson is an Irish writer, performer, and former stand-up comedian. He won the inaugural Time Out Comedy Award in 1988 and has performed several acclaimed one-man shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Ian has written novels, children’s books, and plays, blending dark humor with experimental storytelling. His notable works include Deep Probings, Sloot, and his latest novel, Hewbris (2022), a post-postmodern crime anti-thriller. He lives in Glasgow with his wife, poet Magi Gibson.
