Mel O’Doherty

Mel O’Doherty is an English teacher based in Douglas, Cork. He has written short stories for publications such as The Irish Times and Southword Literary Journal, and his work has also been broadcast on RTÉ Radio.

His debut novel, Fallen, was published by Bluemoose Books in 2021. It was preceded by recognition including shortlisting for the Francis MacManus Award in 2019, and longlisting for The Sunday Times Short Story Award in 2020.
